IRISH TEAM PANEL GET TOGETHER HAS BEEN CANCELLED AT OAKLANDS LAKE, NEW ROSS ON SATURDAY 16th JANUARY, DUE TO THE WEATHER.

The next get together is Sat. 27th February. Sun. 28th February at Oaklands, New Ross.

Check in 9am at venue.

The bait allowance is as follows.

Equivalent of two kilos of dry groundbait.

3 pints total of caster and or maggot, pinkie.

Two tins of sweetcorn. Hemp.

Half a kilo of worm.

CIPs Rules will apply, so no man made baits like pellets are allowed on the hook. Barbless hooks will also apply as it’s a rule of this fishery.

At Carrickmacross District Court on the 2nd December 2009 a number of cases of illegal fishing activity were brought before Judge Sean Mc Bride. Evidence in five cases of violations of the Fisheries Consolidation Act (illegal fishing methods) were presented to Judge Mc Bride who was no longer prepared to countenance any further plundering of our natural resources. 

The process for inclusion on the Ireland Coarse Angling Panel, from which the Ireland International Teams will be drawn for 2010, will on this occasion take the form of Personal and Club nominations. A number of outings will then be held where the Manager will have an opportunity to view all the peoples nominated new and old and the outcome of these will only assist in his final team selections.

All Irish Senior Anglers wishing to be considered for inclusion should officially on the form herein, nominate themselves or be nominated by their Affiliated clubs by Friday 23^rd October 2009.
