Ireland’s anglers showcase the quality fishing during team qualifying heats

Recent qualifiers held for the selection of Lure Team Ireland have showcased the quality fishing on offer on Lough Ree and the River Shannon.  Using the designated competition area for the championships 16 anglers have fished over two weekends so far with good perch catches and pike up to 112cm caught.  The selection of the team members to represent Ireland in the championships will be announced at the end of August.
