After 16 separate rounds of qualifiers held over two weekends in March on The River Cusher in Co. Armagh the National Coarse Federation of Ireland are are pleased to announce the team who will attend the FIPSed Fédération Internationale de la Pêche Sportive en Eau Douce World Predator Championships Shore Fishing with Lures. The team who will represent Ireland at the championships in Italy this June are;
The team members who scored 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th in the qualifiers will be accompanied by Andrew Powell in reserve, Stephen Steven Powell delegate and Tomek Kurman Captain who finished in 6th, 7th & 8th positions. Commiserations to Guntars Vaivads whose excellent performance gave him 3rd place at the qualifiers but who is unable to join the team due to FIPS-ed eligibility rules.
Captain Tomek Kurman says:- I am delighted to present this team which once again includes top rod Jacek Gorny who ran away with the qualifiers with his storming performance. I would also like to make a particular mention to David Bowles whose great performance I witnessed as he qualified for the team for the first time!
