YOUTH TEAM SELECTION AND QUALIFIERS
NCFFI Tubertini Youth Team Ireland will field three teams at the FIPS-ed World Youth Angling Championships to be held on Inniscarra Reservoir in 2017 with representation in all U15, U20 and U25 categories.
Four qualifying events have taken place on Inniscarra Lake and the Coachford, Ireland’s only World class standard angling venue developed for the Feeder World Championships in 2014. Aside from the fabulous silver fish angling on Inniscarra Lake the venue provides a safe and secure environment for junior anglers.
Further to the adoption of new protocols at the recent AGM the best results from 3 out of the 4 matches will select the teams for the U15 and U20 levels. The U25’s are invited to take part in the qualifiers but with the team selection similar to that of the Senior Float Team. Penalty points, to be agreed, will be applied for non attendance at the qualifiers. Other anglers will be selected to support the teams during the championships and there will be an opportunity for junior anglers to get involved as stewards providing them with close access to the worlds top youth anglers, a learning experience in itself. The final team selection will be announced in October.
A fantastic turn out from the enthusiastic anglers attending the qualifiers run over two weekends. View the full results and current rankings in EXCEL here
