A new Championships for the feeder enthusiast.
A total weight of 861.790 kg was caught at the inaugural All-Ireland Method Feeder Championships attended by 31 anglers. The event was held on Oaklands lake in New Ross, Co. Wexford on a bright but fresh day with a westerly wind making casting difficult on the lower numbers. Casting accuracy and bait choice makes the difference with this simple method of positive feeding.
Congratulations to County Cavan angler Steve Whyte on his winning 63.040kg. The weekend saw Steven catch his first ever carp and then go on to win the event – well done. Runner-up was Mike Michu with 58.060kg and in third place Danny Murphy with 51.400kg. The top three weights came from the islands. Placed 4th and 5th were Aidas Zilinskas’ 50.120kg and Mark Alcock’s 48.680kg section winning weights.
