The National Coarse Federation of Ireland, NCFFI is committed to safeguarding the well-being of all in coarse and predator angling, maintaining the safest environment possible for all young people and vulnerable adults who wish to participate in angling sport and recreation.

Every member of the Executive, affiliated club, association or individual member; coach, parent/guardian and young people should at all times, show respect and understanding for participant’s rights, safety and welfare and conduct themselves in a way that reflects the principles of the federation and the guidelines contained in the NCFFI Safeguarding Policy & Guide and the Safeguarding Guidance For Children & Young People in Sport. The Code as issued by Sport Ireland and Sports Northern Ireland provides principles and guidelines to be adopted when dealing with young people and vulnerable adults.

Vetting

Vetting is essential and obligatory for all persons with access to children and vulnerable adults and those making decisions regarding the welfare of children at local, regional and national level. All NCFFI affiliated clubs have a Children’s Officer and along with all our coaches have in-date vetting. To make a vetting application click here
