The NCFFI has been running angling events and competitions for many years. An example of which is the ‘All Ireland’ fished at various locations across Ireland annually, where individuals compete for the prestigious All Ireland Cup. With dedicated youth and feeder events, there is something for everyone.
National Competitions
NCFFI All Ireland Championships
Anglers compete for the prestigious All Ireland Cup, includes a Ladies Trophy. Held annually on the Sunday prior to the August bank holiday weekend. 2018 saw the 60th anniversary of the championships.
NCFFI All Ireland Feeder Club Championships
A two day event to find the best feeder club on the island. Also serves as qualifiers to select the team to represent Ireland at the FIPSed World Feeder Club Championships.
NCFFI Senior All Ireland Canal Championships
Competition angling over two days on the Grand or Royal Canal held in April
NCFFI All Ireland Float Club Championships
A two day event qualifying event to select the team to represent Ireland at the FIPSed World Clubs Championships. The event is hosted by participating clubs in rotation.
NCFFI Junior All Ireland Championships
The Junior version of the All Ireland with categories from Novice, U15 and U20.
NCFFI Junior All Ireland Feeder Championships
A one day event for the junior feeder angler takes place in October.
NCFFI All Ireland Lure Angling Championships
First introduced in 2022, this even also serves as one of three qualifying events for Team Ireland
NCFFI Senior Inter Provincial Championships
Provincial Councils hold select their members to represent the province at this two day competition. Contact your provincial council for details.
