The NCFFI continues to closely monitor the Coronavirus outbreak with the health and safety of the angling community and our partners our priority. We are guided by the fact that we all have a responsibility to reduce and preferably eliminate non essential social contact. With that in mind we strongly advise that all affiliated clubs suspend any league and open matches, coaching and training with immediate effect.
All NCFFI events scheduled for March and April are postponed to a later date. The second round of the Predator Shore Qualifiers, the International Feeder Friendly event and the All Ireland Senior Canal Championships will all be reinstated some time in the future. We’ll continue to monitor the situation and we will review, at a later time, events scheduled for May and later.
In the case of imminent festivals attended by those who have already travelled from overseas we advise that you limit the number of participants and that you carry out any logistical gathering ( i.e. draw and presentation) on the bank or alternative outdoor location and adjust the draw format reducing common touch. Organisers should ensure that Social Distancing Guidelines are observed at all times during competition.
The NCFFI will continue to monitor information from the public health services on the island of Ireland and advise our members to remain informed of and follow government advice.
