Team Ireland Erne Anglers’s – World Championship Feeder Fishing for Clubs

The FIPSed World Championship Feeder Fishing for clubs hosted 43 of the worlds’ best feeder angling clubs from the 4th to 10th of April. The competition which took place on the Canal Bianco in Loreo, Italy concluded with JWP Waterservice of the Netherlands holding on to their title, in second place was team Lenza Tubertini of Italy and third Team ASV Austria. Congratulations to all.

Representing Ireland was the Erne Anglers AC, Enniskillen Co. Fermanagh. After four days practice on the venue the team consisting of club members Tony Green, Jack Tisdall, Vincent Walsh, Mark Theedom and Vincent Walsh started off the first day of the competition well finishing in 18th position. Their second day performance didn’t go as planned and saw them finish in 38th position, leading them to place 33rd overall. Never under estimate the effort and commitment required to fish on the world stage; 5 days practice takes place before the two day event. It wasn’t easy to make the decision to travel in these difficult times; this was the first representation of Team Ireland overseas since the pandemic and we hope to see more travel going forward.
