Its Bronze, the first team medal for Predator

Today Team Ireland Predator members Tomek Kurman, Jacek Rafał Gorny, Daniel Nesbitt, Aidan O’Connor and Krzysztof Sibiga scored the very first team medal in predator fishing for the NCFFI.

The competition based at the Share Discovery Village in Lisnaskea, co. Fermanagh, Northern Ireland was fished over three days on the Upper Lough Erne. The 15 nations presented two boats each fishing with artificial lures only for perch and pike with fish measurements turned into points. Bronze pairs winners of 2013 Tomi and Jacek got off to a poor start but pulled it back after the first day. County Clare duo Danny & Aidan fishing only their second championship put in a great performance throughout to reach the podium again ranking 4th pair overall.

The new world champions Team Lithuania put in a stunning performance winning each days competition to finish with 9 points. Team Latvia took Silver with 44 points. USA predator duo took the big fish trophy for an incredible 120cm pike, a record fish for FIPSed championships and possibly the largest recorded on the Erne.

Sadly, its Tomi Kurmans last championship as he leaves the International Predator Managers position having fielded teams for the last 10 years by boat and on the shore also actively involved in the hosting of 4 world championships during this time.
