NCFFI to host World Championships on Inniscarra Lake, 2025

The National Coarse Fishing Federation of Ireland have been awarded the hosting of the FIPSed World Championships for Clubs in 2025 and we are pleased to announce it will take place on Inniscarra Lake, Coachford, Co. Cork. The NCFFI supported by Cork County Council, ESB, Inland Fisheries Ireland and Inniscarra Lake will bring up to 40 club teams from 20 nations to the local area.

NCFFI Chair, Jack Tisdall says:- “I’m delighted to host the event, to be held for the first time in Ireland, on this world class angling facility in Cork County. The successful bid for the championships reflects the commitment of the NCFFI Committee and our Team Ireland anglers, who are ambassadors to Irish angling as they compete around the world each year.”

The Lee Valley reservoir and river have already been host to senior and youth championships but this will be the biggest event for the area yet, bringing the local community, anglers & spectators together from 28th of July to 3rd of August 2025. The official programme for competitors will be released by FIPSed later this year.
