The NCFFI are pleased to offer Ireland’s lure anglers the opportunity to compete on the world stage at the 2019 FIPS-ed World Championships Shore Angling with Lures to be held on the the Aurillac/Cère River in France this June.
Predator Team Manager Tomasz Kurman invites you to attend the qualifying events to take place over two weekends in March:
Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd March, Cusher River
Saturday 30th & Sunday 31st March, To Be Confirmed
The venues are subject to confirmation and back up arrangements have been made to fish at Rectory Lodge should flooding become an issue.
On each day of the qualifiers you will fish for trout to receive points based on the number of fish caught in each of the 45 minutes sessions fished. Points will then be awarded by position in each of the sessions and the four anglers with the least points at the end of the four days will be selected for the team. Two more team members will be selected by the Predator Manager later to act as Captain & Delegate/Bank Runner.
We practice Catch I Photo I Measure I Release for all. As all catches will be recorded in photo format you are required to have a digital camera with a memory card and lead to enable the organisers to upload.
Entry is £20 (€25) per angler per day with the fees being assigned to the travelling team who will also receive funding from the NCFFI towards costs.
Entry is open to members of NCFFI affiliated clubs. Anglers are responsible for the purchase of the appropriate license/permit required.
