NCFFI Coaches deliver Level One Anglers Skills Award

NCFFI coaches were back on the bank yesterday at Ballyshunnock Lake. A group of young female anglers enjoyed their first introduction to fishing. The day saw the young women certified at level 1 of the six-level Anglers Skills Awards programme.
Once kitted out with PPE and briefed on Health & Safety there was plenty of fun identifying baits and fish, before assembling tackle and practice casting. Everyone took the opportunity to cast, hook, play and land their first fish. Inland Fisheries Ireland outreach officers partnered with our coaches to ensure the day was a great success. They provided caps and safety glasses together with their ever popular goody bags.
