Further to the latest guidelines of our Governments it is now more important than ever that we enjoy our sport in a safe and controlled manner. Most of us are fortunate that our sport is still open to us and we commiserate with our members where restrictions currently apply.
NCFFI members have continued to hold events in accordance with NCFFI Guidelines appointing event organisers with Covid19 Officer training. As the NGB we continue to work with Sport Ireland to update our guidelines. Recent issues highlighted relate to those arriving to and departing from events and we must limit social gatherings, including presentations. It is also essential that we continue to observe social distancing and we remind everyone to observe the controls implemented by the event organisers.
Event organisers must;
- Supervise each event and risk assess
- Have covid19 officer certification
- Collect attendee declarations related to the past 14 days to confirm that they have not;
- travelled overseas
- displayed covid19 symptoms
- have been in contact with a suspected covid19 case
Covid19 Course
Clubs should ensure the nominated event organiser has completed the Covid19 Officer Course before running an event, match, league or other.
