Coarse Angling on the River Blackwater
The River Blackwater in County Dungannon. Northern Ireland has long been a favourite spot for the coarse angler. The river flows mostly through the counties Armagh and Tyrone at times crossing the border into County Monaghan.
There are two access points for anglers available at The Argory National Trust Estate, Bonds Bridge and the new ‘members only’ match stretch known as The Argory. In 2021 the Ulster Coarse Fishing Federation leased the riverbank from the National Trust for the benefit of its members and supported by the National Coarse Fishing Federation of Ireland, NCFFI and Sport Northern Ireland plan to enhance the facility to provide up to 60 fishing pegs on the river.
