International Youth Team Open Day II
Further to the success of the recent open day on Lough Muckno the NCFFI invites young anglers under the age of 25 to join them for an experience day on the River Barrow at Monasterevin on Saturday 14th of August. The fishery known for its shoals of silverfish makes for good float and pole fishing for dace and roach. Water levels are currently being monitored and the exact location will be determined closer to the time. If you have access to a trolley it will be helpful to bring one along.
International Youth Team Manager, Gavin Walsh and U20 Assistant Manager Nick Richards will share tips and tactics based around international competition with members of BSI Sensas Club providing help and support.
Whilst there is no prerequisite to attend we hope the day will help to prepare those interested in applying for a place on Youth Team Ireland with invitations to apply to be communicated through clubs in the coming weeks.
