Qualified – Assistant NCFFI Coach

Congratulations go to another 11 anglers, including three ladies, who qualified as Assistant NCFFI Coaches on a hot sunny day in County Cavan.

The practical assessment which included techniques in tackle assembly, loop tying and long distance casting saw the mixed group of anglers come together on the bank as the final stage of the NCFFI blended learning programme developed by the Coach Development Team during Covid19 restrictions.

The participants, from a range of affiliated clubs including representatives from a number of youth organisations will all now have access to the NCFFI structured programme ‘Anglers Skills Awards’, a six step pathway designed to introduce novice anglers to a lifelong passion for Angling sport.

The venue for the day was the anglers favourite Carafin Lodge www.cavanadventure.com whose multi purpose facility is perfect for angling. The coaching was delivered by NCFFI Coach Education Tutors supported by Cavan Sports Partnership.
