NCFFI clubs may represent Ireland at the World Club Championships in both disciplines, Float or Feeder. A qualifier will be held each year to select the team(s) and where funds are available the NCFFI will cover the FIPS-ed entry fee, usually €1450. In addition when running the event we collect from the participating teams €100 which is awarded to the qualifying club.
Any affiliated club may apply to take part. FIPS-ed rules allow for two Foreign Nationals – non-passport holders only on the team; all other members must hold a ROI/UK & Northern Ireland Passport.

In accordance with NCFFI Protocol affiliated clubs are invited to enter teams of 5 to take part in the Feeder Club Championships which includes the qualifying event to select the club to represent Ireland at the World Championships. Clubs may submit more than one team. The event is be fished to FIPSed rules and bait limits apply. Entry €200 per team. €100 of the entry fee is awarded to the qualifying team, the rest paid out in pools.
Lurgan AC qualified to represent Ireland at the World Clubs in Italy, 2022 at the qualifiers held over the weekend of the 24th & 25th July 2021. The Blue team scored 27 points to win the championships held on Lough Muckno with an overall weight of 70.875kg. Runners up were CM Lakelands Gold team also with 27 points but losing out on weight. Further to a communication from the championship hosts there is an opportunity for Ireland to present a second team to be selected according to the ranking of the championships.
