The NCFFI have been presenting teams at European and World Championships for many years boasting a World Champion and three Silver Medallists but still no Team podium finish after finishing 4th at the European Championships 2019. You can view the FIPS-ed rankings here

Team Selection

International Team Managers are responsible for the selection process and running of qualifiers, the management and training of the Team Members, sponsorship, the coordination and accompaniment of the teams in overseas travel and are bound by the general principles in the Constitution and Protocol & Policy documents with the support of the Executive.

With several events to attend annually the Float Team manager selects teams for each individual event. In accordance with NCFFI Protocol the Team Manager is authorised to select his team from these applicants based on his assessment. If more than 30 applications are received the Team Manager will organise qualifiers (no entry fee required) to look at all those anglers who apply.

Any affiliated member or member of a club may apply to join the teams. You are required to hold a ROI/UK & Northern Ireland passport. FIPS-ed rules allow for one Foreign National – non-passport holder on the team, residency rules apply.
